12 th International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry "Agros 2008"

12.th International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry "Agros 2008" began on 10th September in Banjaluka under the sponsorship of the Government of RS, City of Banja Luka and Radio-television RS, as the media sponsor.

The Fair was opened by the president of RS, Rajko Kuzmanović, a mayor of Banja Luka, Dragoljub Davidović, and the Minister of agriculture, forestry and water management of RS, Radivoje Bratić who underscored the intensions of the RS Government in making the agriculture one of the strategic branches of the Republic.

 

The representatives of the Cooperative Association BH were invited to participate at the round table discussions about one of the burning issues nowadays and that is the new law on cooperatives in Republic of Srpska. Unfortunately, the planned event never took place and the invited and other interested parties were only given the opportunity to listen to the presentation of the president of the Cooperative Union of RS, Ljubo Rakić, topic being: Cooperatives in BH- status and perspectives. There was no time for potential questions.

 

16th International Autumn Bjelovar Fair
5th - 7th September 2008

This year International Bjelovar Fair, 5th – 7th September 2008 in Gudovac near Bjelovar, was visited by a delegation from the Cooperative Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aim of this visit was to establish contacts and future cooperation, that is, the exchange of experiences within the cooperative sector between the neighboring countries Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.

As it was planned, there was a meeting held with the counselor of Agricultural Cooperative Union of Croatia for projecting and consulting, Zoran Starešina and also with the entrepreneurship counselor and secretary of the Union, Anton Matijašević, where the important cooperative topics were discussed such as property issues, laws and regulations, subsidies, as well as contacts with local authorities and institutions.
